Event Background:

Per current statistics, 28.2% of Gold Coast residents were born overseas. If you add to that the descendants of those born overseas, this figure increases to above 40%. The annual Gold Coast Multicultural Festival provides a venue to celebrate and showcase the skills and talents of our city's diverse cultural communities through a variety of exciting and educational multicultural activities culminating in the main Festival Day.

The annual Festival has been running since 2008 and is one of the few low-cost, family-friendly events that can be enjoyed by all community members.
